Description

PADI Cavern Speciality

There are caverns in many of the areas where divers venture: the Cenotes in the Rivera Maya, fresh water springs to walls on volcanic islands and limestone coasts.

In these places, you’ll find large dark spaces that seem to invite you to enter, but that are potentially dangerous.

The PADI Caverns specialty course provides you with the knowledge and techniques necessary to explore caverns properly – allowing you to get in enough to enjoy the adventure, but staying within the lighted area for easy exit to open water.

Course content :

Ready for a challenge? You’ll carry out four dives, the first one dedicated to the handling of ropes, the use of reels and emergency procedures outside a cave; And the next three dives make you use these new techniques inside a cave. You’ll also learn about:

  • Other specialized equipment for cave diving, such as flashlights and redundant breathing systems.
  • Avoiding disorientation and techniques not to remove sediment.

Dive planning, including depth and distance limits and air management for cave diving.

The PADI Cavern Diver course is designed for recreational divers who want to safely explore the light zone of cenotes.

Divers who wish to progress beyond recreational limits and train in full overhead environments can continue their development with our professional Cave Diving Course in Mexico ,focused on technical cave diving training from Cavern to Full Cave level.
