Diving Cenotes The Pit and Dos Ojos in the same day is one of the most amazing dive experiences you can have in the Riviera Maya. In just one trip, you will explore two of the best cenotes in Tulum, famous for their unique light effects, breathtaking formations, and connection to the largest underground river system in the world.

Why diving cenotes The Pit and Dos Ojos?

These cenotes were considered by the ancient Maya as the sacred entrance to Xibalba, the underworld. Today, they are part of the Sac Actun – Dos Ojos System, a record-breaking cave system running for more than 215 miles underground.

With over 5,000 cenotes already discovered in Mexico (and thousands more yet to be explored), The Pit and Dos Ojos stand out as must-dive sites for advanced divers.

Highlights of this dive experience:

• The Pit Cenote: Dramatic sun beams, haloclines, and the mystical hydrogen sulfide cloud.
• Dos Ojos Cenote: Stunning stalactites and stalagmites, crystal-clear visibility, and a dome with rich biodiversity, including bat colonies.

• Number of dives: 2 dives (about 40 minutes each)

Requirements for diving cenotes

• Minimum age: 16 years
• Certification: Advanced Open Water Diver required or OW with experiences in deep dives
• Good health and recent dive experience
• No flights within 24 hours after diving
• We recommend a refresher dive if you haven’t been diving in over a year

Meeting Point

• If you are staying in downtown Playa del Carmen, pick-up is included or Meet us in our Shop.
• For other areas, we will provide a convenient meeting point.

Cancellation Policy

• ✅ Free cancellation up to 48 hours before your dive.
• 🔄 If weather conditions prevent the activity, we reschedule or refund 100%.
• ⚠️ Cancellation between 48–24 hours before: 50% fee.
• ❌ Cancellation within 24 hours or no-show: 100% charge.

• Can I dive Dos Ojos if I’m a beginner ? Yes, Dos Ojos is perfect for Open Water divers, with shallow depths and excellent visibility.
• What’s included in the tour? The package includes a certified PADI guide + Full Cave guide, round-trip transportation from Playa del Carmen, full diving equipment, water, and lunch.
• How long does the experience last? The full tour takes about half a day, including transport, preparation, two dives, and surface interval. from 8 am  till 3 pm
• How big is the group ? Our groups are limited to 4 divers per truck/guide.
• Do you take photos ? Unfortunately, guides are not allowed to carry cameras in any of the cenotes due to safety regulations.
• Can I bring my camera? Yes, you can bring your camera, just keep in mind that professional cameras have a fee.
