Building upon what you’ve already learned, this course deepens what you know about how to prevent problems, and how to manage them if they occur. The skills you learn in this course help you to build confidence and prepare for possible diving emergencies. Here are all the details of the PADI Rescue Diver Course:
What to expect: During the PADI Rescue Diver course you’ll learn how to react in dangerous situations and possible accidents under water, such as giving first aid to an unconscious diver. After this course, you’ll be a more experienced and confident diver.
Location: Playa del Carmen
Includes: 4 dives in Playa del Carmen (2 dives per day, with different rescue scenarios); pool training; full equipment; study material; PADI Certification; snacks and water.
What you’ll learn:
- Self rescue.
- Recognizing and managing stress in other divers.
- Emergency management and equipment.
- Rescuing panicked divers.
- Rescuing unresponsive divers.
Requirements: A minimum age of 16; good state of health; not taking flights for at least 18 hours after your last dive; PADI Adventure Diver Certification or its equivalent; First Aid and CPR training within the previous 2 years (ask your instructor about Emergency First Response CPR and first aid courses); PADI Medical Questionnaire, to see if you should be examined by your doctor before participating in recreational diver training. If any of the items in the Medical Questionnaire apply to you, you must consult a physician before scuba diving.
